Bundjalung language communities will benefit from increased funding from the Indigenous Language Support Program via its New Media funding.  This will allow Muurrbay to engage I.T expert Cat Kutay to digitise language materials such as dictionaries, learning resources and audio materials.  Cat recently met with Muurrbay’s new consultant linguist April Miss-Thom, CEO Gary Williams, Gumbaynggirr Language Researcher Dallas Walker and Regional
co-ordinator Anna Ash, to begin work.  This builds on meetings with Margaret Sharpe to ensure that her compilation of Bundjalung research will be available online.

All materials will be workshopped at community meetings and it is hoped that several Bundjalung researchers will contribute to the website, adding their own audio materials, as well as sharing materials throughout their communities.  In future we will liaise with educational and Aboriginal community groups to encourage access to the website, and its use in educational programs and at home.
