Pauline Hooler

Giinagay! Nganyundi bijaarr Pauline (Moylan) Hooler.

My involvement with Muurrbay is one of a personal nature. I’m a committee member, admin assistant for Muurrbay and Many Rivers and a student in the language class at CHEC (Coffs Harbour Education Campus). Being Gumbaynggirr myself I have strong ties to this area. The building itself is also of historical significance. It was a catholic church in the early 1950’s for the kooris on the mission to go to, sometimes with the help of those “nuns”. This same building today is teaching our Gumbaynggirr Language and Culture and that to me is a beautiful turn around.
