On the 15th February, 2017 Muurrbay launched the Gumbaynggirr Yuludarla Jandaygam (Gumbaynggirr Dreaming Story Collection) at the Nambucca Community and Arts Centre.

Elders and community members travelled from far and wide to enjoy the book launch.

Michael Jarrett oversaw proceeding as Master of Ceremonies.

Muurrbay’s Gary Williams, Dallas Walker and Brother Steve Morelli who compiled the Gumbaynggirr Dreaming Story over a 5-year period addressed the audience.
Artist Sharon Smith beautiful artwork is featured throughout the publication spoke to the attendees.

Welcome to Country was spoken in Gumbaynggirr by Ricky Buchanan.
Uncle Barry Phyball officially launched Gumbaynggirr Yuludarla Jandaygam (Gumbaynggirr Dreaming Story Collection) with his wonderful character and candour.
The audience was mesmerised by the cultural dancing by the boy and girl Orara High Schools dance groups and the joyful singing of the Woolgoolga School Choir and expressive Gumbaynggirr story telling by Clark Webb.

National Parks and Wildlife – Gaagal Wangaan cooked up a wonderful sausage sizzle.
